I've spent many wonderful evenings in Dusy Basin, and taken more images here than I've taken perhaps anywhere else in the Sierras. This last summer, my family and I hiked the JMT, and we had the privilege of spending two nights here as part of a resupply. I've never won the lottery, but I think I know the feeling, as both evenings included amazing glow and stormy clouds that left me feeling like I had just been given something very very special!

I have several images from this exact location captured over the last 4 years, but this last summer provided my favorite image, by far.

Fantastic light and drama. I like the reflection of the sky in the water and the little bit of peak reflected there as well. Don't have any suggestions except print this one large. Great work.

This is an absolutely beautiful image. The light on the peaks in the background is very powerful, and the clouds in the sky are a great touch. Very well executed. :toast:

Excellent scene Cory. You live in Redmond? That is the mecca/hub for Oregon Photography!!! With everything so close to your fingertips, I can't see much of a reason to travel outside the state. My dad lives there and I often drop by when going north, south, east or west! :biggrin:
