Pelican Take Off

I am reliably informed that this is Juvenile Pink Backed Pelican.

This was taken as we drifted towards it on a boat on Lake Manze Channel, Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania, hand-held.

Great frontal shot of this take off, love the water splash, comp. and background.

Ken: Very nice action capture. The pano crop works very well with this wing position. Good choice. The image looks like it is over saturated to me. Bringing it down a little would create a more natural looking image.

An interesting perspective and nice action. Good call on the pano. The yellow could be cooled off some.

Cool angle, Ken. I like your choice of a pano crop for this.

Thanks everybody for your comments and suggestions, I should probably have said that we had a fiery red sunset behind us.
