Hellebore

This bush of Hellebore, or Lenten Rose, sat in dappled light in a neighbors garden in the late afternoon.

GH-3, Lumix G-Vario 100-300 @ 108; tripod, cpl; f 8, 1/25, ISO 640, -1.66 EV. NIK processing.

Still learning how to work with NIK software, so all comments appreciated. Thanks.

Gorgeous array of colour, Catherine, vibrant in the late afternoon light. I've always hesitated to shoot the drooping hellebores - this makes me think again !

I think these look really great. They are very difficult to showcase. I would dry the Darken/Lighten Filter in ColorEfex. You can brighten the center without adjusting anything else and choose your center. I think it would help draw my eye into that one bloom that is lighter than the others. You can place your center where you want and go from there. Great image!!
