Playing at the Stern

These dolphins were playing at the docks at Morehead City, NC at the stern of a large tanker. This was taken from my boat as we idled by, trying not to disturb them.

What an unusual combination of elements! The boat with its strong lines, first caught my eye which then moved to the graphic and similarly-colored little red sheds. It wasn't until my eyes traveled past these elements that I saw the dolphins! That was a confusing "jolt" to see them in this setting. They do look like they were having fun. . .hope they were ok in this setting. Nicely taken picture, Wick, with great lines, colors, details, and subject interest.

Very neat man and nature image! Tells a good story. Do wish the dolphins were just a bit larger in the photo. Thanks for sharing.

At first I thought this was kind of a stretch calling this a nature photo, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the dolphins. Great action, especially with the pair facing in opposite directions. I think you included just the right amount of the ship to put the whole scene in perspective.
