hi all,

it's been quite a while since i last posted here on NPN - but i had a good reason for my absence: i was travelling through the indian part of the himalayas for a few weeks. the main highlight was a 13-day trek in khangchendzonga national park surrounding the world's third highest peak.

Canon 5DMKIII, EF 16-35 @ 22mm
ISO 100, f/11, 25 seconds
two exposures blended (foreground+mountains/sky+stars) processed in LR and PS (TKs luminosity masks)

Superb image Joerg! The composition is great, with the stream leading the eye into the frame towards the impressive mountains and the stars above! I also like the 'cool' tonality of the image. Great stuff! :toast:

Just a wonderful image Joerg. I really like the water motion and the shine on the rocks. Also the light on the mountains is just great. Really well processed. :toast:

This is wonderful. I love the mood, composition, cool tones and excellent clarity. The starry sky makes it a standout.

Outstanding evening feel to this one. That must have been some trek, will have to check out your blog. The real bright star at the top keeps pulling my eye - maybe toning it down just a little :confused: Very minor, fine image. Look forward to seeing more from your travels. :toast:

Beautiful work Joerg! There is wonderful interest throughout the image from the foreground water, through the boulders, to the mountain and then the sky, really well conceived. :toast:
