Oregon Coast Sunset

As the light faded after a day of shooting around Yachats on the central coast, I was getting ready to head back to the car when I noticed these puffy clouds start moving up from the horizon. Usually clouds there are the high, wispy cirrus type, so I stuck around and shot this photo of the clouds reflected on the wet sand. As there was very little color to begin with, I prefer it in black and white.

Canon 5d Mark iii, 16-35mm lens, 4 seconds at f/11, ISO 100, Gitzo Tripod

The b&w kinda makes it feel like an ink-blot test. I like that. Very surreal

Very unusual composition which I like a lot. Nice job on B&W processing Vignette seems very dark but that's a personal thing. Very nice.

The 50-50 split works very well on this particular image, Thomas. The clouds really do make the scene here.

Lovely sky of clouds relfecting in the water. The b&w treatment is well chosen!

Really cool image Thomas. I like the symmetry between the sky and the reflection. This works very well in b/w.
