This is the famous Bixby Bridge of Big Sur, California. I took this image during my recent trip there. I had to plan well in advance about where to look, what time to be there and also how the light would be.

This is a blend of 2 exposures:

One for the sky at : f/2.8 25s ISO 3200 and
One for the foreground taken an hour before sunrise at : f/16 30s ISO 400

Comments and feedback much appreciated! :toast:

Great shot of the milky way, it stands out wonderfully and I like the streaks of light from the cars. I might have preferred a little more of the bridge and maybe take multiple exposures for the road to get longer light trails. The shooting star is just a bonus. Great work here.

Thanks very much Peter! You'll not believe how much I wanted for more cars to drive by. There were a precious few cars that went by and this frame was the best of the lot. More of the bridge would have been nice, but I felt it might take the attention away from the Milky way.. wonderful suggestions! Thanks! :toast:

Well done, the blend works well. I think the bridge could be a bit darker.

Thanks for the suggestion Rob, I'll tweak the brightness of the bridge
