This one from Death Valley. I was absolutely charmed with the inter-woven diversity of the the hills there. Seemed like every where I went, another abstract landscape greeted me. Your thoughts and critiques are appreciated. Thanks for looking

Very good looking scene! I like the different tonality in the hills. Reminds me of a place in Iceland where the hills also have many different shades due to minerals. Fascinating!

Nice textures, patterns and light. I like the way the hill at the bottom of the image is acting like a leading line and pointing the eye into the picture and between the two hills in the middle.

Considering the harsh light you did rather well with this scene, Nancy. Lots of interesting shapes to enjoy here. This would be a great place to come back to with some more even light to enrich the colors further and eliminate some shadows. Just a suggestion of course.

What Ed said, except that I would also be tempted to try a version just prior to the sun disappearing with warm light and long shadows. Love the textures here!

For some reason I can't seem to see the full size image. From the thumbnail I like the use of light and shadow. The lines and textures are very nice.
