Cherry Branch

Very breezy days at the moment but the cherries at least are really coming out. This branch of pink flowers was shot against a distant white cherry.

Canon 400D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/500 sec @ f 6.3, ISO 400, hh, some softening of the bg in Nik suite.

Beautiful, Iam. I really like the composition and the bg worked very well. I like the small clump of oof blossoms in the upper left.

The softness here is really nice...I like the blurring in the foreground as well as the distant cherry in the BG. I also really like the effect of the blooms in the top left corner of the frame!

Perfectly lovely! My small nit is the large ugly branch in the URC. Perhaps a dab more softening?

Wonderful artistry in this image, Ian. It's soft, yet brilliant, rather impressionistic, and natural looking at the same time. I've been looking at it for quite some time trying to explain more of what pleases me about this. It's ineffable in it's presentation. Maybe that's the allure for me. Anyway, I sure like it.

Very pretty Ian. I like the softness a lot. The extra blossoms in the top left of the shot are very nice.

Ian:

As lovely as any cherry blossom I have seen and really reminds me of the time I spent in Japan recently. Love the glow and your processing. The cluster in the LUC is just exquisite without taking attention from the main branch. Might consider cloning out the two twigs extending to the right edge.

Ummm, yummy! Love the warmth from the colors and the soft lighting. I like the soft cluster of flowers in the ulc, but as a "sharpness nut" wish that the last cluster on the main stem were sharper.

A great harmony of colors and lights. I like the recall in the corner. Excellent photo for me, Ian.
