Rock of Ages

This formation was near New Mexico and Colorado border. Lots of interesting shapes in the formation. When I passed this, the light was mid day but the shapes were too much to pass up. My mantra as I enter my senior citizen age of 65 is ~ "never pass up a shot, you may not see it again".

Fascinating formation with lots of layers and shapes. the light doesn't seem to be optimal, but the composition is great

The harshness of the mid day desert light might work better in this b&w version. :wavey:

Much better, but the 'top' light's not the best of course.
I agree with Nancy, the 'Fascinating formation with lots of layers and shapes' make this one work very well.
Have a great weekend Rick! :wavey:

I like the B&W version best of the two, stole the LP so I could play with it in Nik later
