These drab, but attractive, parrots live in the semi arid and arid woodlands of Australia. They usually feed on the ground.

Love it. Super splashes of color Rob and nice details as always. You all have so many cool parrot species down there. Def on my bucket list to come and see for myself.

What an unusual looking bird. Love the seemingly random splashes of colour.
Beautiful Rob

Interesting balance between the bird and perch. I too am jealous of the beautiful birds you have down under!

Doesn't seem "drab" to me - perhaps only in comparison to the other exquisitely-coloured birds down there!
Looks like a paint bucket splashed on it!
Nice perch, good eye contact, very sharp, and sweet BG.

That is a very handsome bird. I like the complimentary lines of the bird and the twig. Very nice background to set off the bird as well. Nice work!

Absolutely gorgeous colors - it may be "drab" by Australian standards, but the only thing more colorful in the US is the painted bunting. Real nice composition

Wow, did you say drab. I may as well shoot all my birds in black and white, no one could tell the difference. The light is bordering on harsh, but this really is an excellent, excellent photo all around. :toast:
