Florida Scrub

Nothing special, but I was enjoying the spring color change of the Florida scrub at St. Mark's Wildlife Refuge a few weeks back.

Large version available for better detail.

Comments and critiques are always welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful Bill, I especially like the soft light, natural color and perfect composition, I find scenes like this very appealing, and you do such a fine job with them.

Bill, one can really appreciate the natural setting in this scene. The larger version is what I enjoy here for all the finer detail, especially the FG grasses. The variety of colors is a real plus to this image also. Looking at all the wild foliage overall I kind of wonder how all that stuff cohabits and which stuff is more dominate. Regardless, very nice to see all this wild foliage.

I like all the nice detail in the fine grasses in the FG. I think the stumps on the left anchor the image and with the trees in the BG adds depth. Nice job!

Nice mix of things creating a diversity of color, shapes and textures. You ever stumble across an Eastern Diamondback in your wanderings?

Bill, I especially appreciate the subtle lighting in your image that really brings it to life for me. The delicate and tangible details in the foreground make me feel like standing in the middle of the scene.

As usual, you have a way of getting to the heart of the Florida landscape. This is beautiful terrain but oh so hard to capture. Well done! :toast: :toast:
