Mesquite

This my first attempt at the dunes. Living in Europe, I don't know when/if I will have the chance to get there again.

Therefore I tried to capture the moment, but I paid attention to enjoy the show as well.. :)

This has been shot from one of the tallest dunes... I regret I didn't have a longer focal lens with me. I intentionally chose to over-expose a little bit here.

The exposure works well for me. I really like the subtle colors of the sky and sand, with a touch of brush. Only nit would be to see the complete bush on the right, or perhaps one not quite so far toward the edge. Beautiful.

I like the exposure as well. You've captured a nice dream-like quality in this scene. I agree with the earlier comment on composition - perhaps include the entire clump of brush on the right or exclude entirely. Good work!

This is postage stamp size. I can not even evaluate or appreciate it. Could you post it larger next time? What I can see looks beautiful.

Marco,

I think its exposed perfectly. I love the light airy feel to this and make the desert much more alluring and hospitable than it really is. Well done. And yes, do post a little bigger next time so that we can enjoy the photo better.

Hi all, thanks for all the comments.

I am including a bigger size here.

Thanks again,

Well seen Marco. Where is this captured.
I agree that cutting the right bush detracts from the eye movement but all in all, Beautiful.. :toast:

I think that this soft pink desert scene is absolutely stunning. I prefer the appearance on screen of the smaller one to the larger image subsequently portrayed and my only slight discomfort is with the little outcrop of sedge grass on the right side of the frame which trails out of the picture and reinforces the feeling that there is more for the viewer to see.

I wish it were larger, but what I see is beautiful. The delicate hues are gorgeous, and really draw me in.

This is flat out awesome. One of the best portrayal of sand dunes in my opinion. :toast:
