Snowy Egret with a definite attitude as to say She is mine. Took this shot at Black Point Wildlife Drive , Merritt Island, Florida. It was taken with Canon 7 D at ISO 200 , f/11,1/500, 240 mm. I find it difficult with the white birds and bright sun.

A very difficult shot to get right in any kind of strong light, I believe most people would wait for more subtle light (very early morning, very late afternoon or overcast day) and use exposure compensation.

Bill, the bright sun looks to have caused a few problems with the exposure. In particular keeping some colour in the background whilst avoiding overexposure on the egrets. The one with attitude looks the best but the ones to th eright and left seem to have lost all highlight detail.
I know you can't alwasy choose the moment when the interesting stuff happens but softer light (early morning or late afternoon) would usually stop this being a problem.
