Location: Tadoba-Andhari tiger reserve in Maharashtra, India.
This female tigress came out of the jungle and sat on the road for some time and later approached our vehicle at a very close distance. More images to follow.

This is a very sale-able picture for commercial purposes Kedar. Very nicely composed and great light on top of that. :toast:

Wow! Looks as if the tigress is looking both directions with those white spots on the back of her ears. Perfect blurring of the jeep in the BG. Beautiful image.

Thank you Jagdeep, Vincent, Dottie, Carol, Do and Ajit.
Initially I had 500mm F4 on my camera. The tigress came out and sat on the road. So I quickly changed to a smaller lens to capture the mood of the place

Usually I find man made elements and people themselves to be a detraction to good wildlife photos, but here you present a terrific exception. The excellent composition, with the tigress languidly "guarding" the road, outstretched body and tail mimicking the curve of the road and the viewers, effectively blocked in the background...all make for a compelling, interesting story. The warm lighting, rich colors and the interest of backside tiger detail and ear spots are fine enhancements. Even the pose, facing away from the camera, succeeds as an out-of-the-box approach to showing how a real wild animal interacts with the modern world. Excellent work.
