Carolina Wren

One of the wrens that has hung out here all winter. This year I put out a nearly empty Jif peanut butter jar and impaled it on a stick. It's so much fun watching the bird go all the way in the jar! It took a while for me to get this one on a good perch...usually they go straight to the peanut butter jar! We are expecting MORE snow here tonight....that PA groundhog was fibbing

50D, 500mm w/1.4, ISO 400, 1/80, F6.3 LARGER version also provided.
THANKS for your comments/critiques! Sharon

Very nice Sharon! I especially like the falling snow on the diagonal.
Yep, they're gonna have to retire that groundhog!

Sharon: I like this very much. This is a really nice capture. The falling snow adds a lot to the image. Perch is great with the snow as well. Excellent!! :toast:

Sweet little bird. I like the neutral BG and the hint of falling snow. I'm not sure if the wren was tail bobbing or if the tail is out of focus. That's my only nit.

Wonderful capture. The perch and the snow make this work. I have one hanging around my house. I welcome it's singing in anticipation of spring weather!
