Petrified Forest

Here's a photo from the Petrified National Forest that I saw on my way to the Grand Canyon. It certainly is an interesting place and I would consider it one of the secret gems of the National Park Service. I hope to go back there some time soon so I might be able to spend a little more time there. This particular shot was at dusk just as the sun is going down.

I like the soft, almost pastel colors in the geology in this one. Nice light too, to make this beautiful.

Really nice, Christina. This looks like it has a lot of possibilities if you are able to return as you hope to. I'll second Morris's comments about the pastel colors in the geology.

Beautiful light on those colored hills. I like how the foreground arc leads to the hazy distance and how that haze keeps the emphasis on the wonderfully colored foreground.
