Sunrise light in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in February 2013.

It's often difficult to find a good composition in Playa, but on this particular morning the low tide opened up several good comps near the rocks.

I'm posting this in M&N due to the dock on the far left and the buoys in the water on the left.

Nikon D800, Nikkor 16-35mm, polarizer
2 exposure hand blend for dynamic range
1/6 sec and 1/4 sec at f/16, ISO 100

This is beautiful, Scott! The light is fantastic and the colors are wonderful. I love the motion of the water, just perfect for my taste. I didn't even notice the dock at first. Excellent work! :toast:

Sweet. :toast: I especially like the color and detail in the rocks in the FG. Super sharp image, too. You could probably make a vertical out of this, too, just by keeping the center part. Great color and detail and excellent handling of a wide dynamic range. Nice!!
