unabridged
by John Clulow
I arrived 45 minutes early for this Wednesday's macro class at Morton Aboretum, so I decided to drive around the west side. It was about 6 pm and the late sun made strong shadows, and I saw this bridge and pulled over figuring to shoot it, but then I realized that all I had was the 90mm Tamron macro lens. So I did the best I could f/11, ISO 100, 1/30s handheld (too lazy to take the tripod out of the trunk).
I liked the geometry of the boards against the woods, the dynamic range, and how the supports reflected the M A letters of Morton Aboretum, a place that is all about trees.
C&C appreciated.
