Hi everyone
it has been a while since my last post. I had one phototrip some 2 weeks ago, together with Andreas Resch and three other photographers. We went to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia. We hoped for snow and frozen waterfalls. And there was indeed enough snow, fresh snowfall every evening, yielding several feet in some places which made the park relatively inaccessible for the less determined visitors. We had the place for ourselves.
This is a scene none of us could resist. I shot it two times, on the first day and the day after. This version is a 3x3 pano stich, using f32 to blur the water. The central frame was shot using f9.0 to resolve more detail on the thick snow cover. The final image has 28 Mpix, good enough for a large print. Yes, i know, today there are cameras out on the marked which have this res. without stiching...
Please let me know how this works for you. Please see the large image.
Thanks for viewing and commenting.
I hope to be able to make some comments too. Currently I am a bit disabled, only one arm free, the other is in a bandage (skiing accident)

BTW ... I found another great viewpoint on the hiking map of Plitvice - next time we will have a lot of new places to go to.
and even better determination to get that shot...
my only tiny nit would be that i would like to see a bit more at the bottom of the frame. that snowy/icy rock is a bit too close to the edge for my tastes. with all those beautiful details all over the image, this is really a minor nit! i already feel sorry, for pointing it out
next time you guys go on that trip, drop me a line - i'd love to join!
