Stocking up

The tree swallows are really ganging up and feeding heavily to put on reserves for their migration north. It was fun photographing them as they chased midges on the wing. I was lucky enough to capture this bird as it winged past while feeding.

Gorgeous, Ron. I try to get these on the wing every summer, with a singular lack of success. The detail and eye contact are outstanding, and I love the wing position.

Amazing flight shot Ron of these fast little birds. Excellent feather detail and I like the iridescent shine on the larger image. Way to go, very cool shot.

This is really well captured Ron, "Handheld" and so well detailed, amazing. I must be getting too old to keep up with these fast movers inflight. Well done!

This image is 53% of full frame. Which is about all you can do with these little birds. Any closer and my lens will not focus.
