I think this is a Fence Lizard? Anyhow, I was photographing flowers against the lichen and suddenly discovered this fellow hiding in the rocks right next to where I was kneeling! He was so still I was able to stack 39 images of him ( I am not sure it was worth it...but oh well!)

Nice find and catch, Eirini. I also am not sure that it required a 39 image stack, but I won't argue with the excellent result and the wall to wall (or should I say, rock to rock) sharpness. Good detail in the lizard and lichen.

The lizard is a neat addition to an already interesting scene. The lichen colors are very nice and the green plants add some extra life.

39 images?! He really did stay still. . .I think he thought you wouldn't see him hiding there. He really does blend in well but the tail gives him away. Nice comp with the colored lichens and the green plants. And yes, it is nice and sharp--I guess it better be after a 39 image stack! Well done, Eirini. :toast:

Looks like ya 'cornered' this lizard very nicely Eriini
I found myself peering into the dark recess of this rock looking for its head.
I especially like the colored lichen and various small pieces of greenery that steal the 'shoe', interesting comp.
You remember Ed Sullivan? Or before your time? Anyway he was always saying, "Tonight we have a really big shoe for you:biggrin:
Or in this case tail
