Sunset Sky

Beautiful sky. I'd crop s bit from the top, maybe to just above the first heavy cloud. My monitor isn't the best but it looks like your highlights might be a little too hot. Pretty scene.

I like this image every bit as much in the larger view as I do in the view presented ;)

Just in terms of form, color, and contrast, I like the horizontal layers in the vertical direction and the interesting way in which forms are echohed on earth as in heaven. The contour of the foreground adds to the horizontal lines of the clouds. And, for another example, when I look up from the tree silhouette on the right, I see the form of a large bird flying towards the East with wings in downward motion as well as other forms in the clouds.

So I think it's like a symphony of form and color with the earth and things rooted therein reaching up towards the etherial forms and colors in the sky.

Hi Beth, You really caught a beautiful sunset here, and I love those clouds. I too could see cropping some of the sky here. My feeling would be at least below the brighter area of the upper right corner and you might even try more of a bit of a pano by going below the brighter part in the upper left corner. Just a couple of thoughts on it anyways because it is nice as you have it. The foreground trees look a little oversharpened to me but I still enjoy what you captured! Very pretty.
