Standing tall

Very first snow of the winter, north west Montana

Minimal processing : local contrast, added saturation to yellows to reflect the original color contrast better.

Canon 5Dm3, 1/40s, f/13, 170mm, ISO200

Any critique is always appreciated, thanks.

A real treat! Maybe a slight crop off the top to avoid a too centered look of the trees. Perfect balance of detail and snow covering.

Very nice. Love the monochrome look with the yellow leaves. The whites look a bit dark to me. Is that intentional?

Beautiful image. I like the cyan cast to the overall image contrasting with the yellow leaves. Well processed.
And, FWIW - you don't need to justify to me why you bumped up the yellows - unless, of course, the purpose of the image was one of "pure" documentation. I doubt this is. This is art.

Fantastic textures and details for me, Vlad. The layers in your composition complement each other amazingly. Great work in my opinion.

Vlad, this is a beautiful transitional image. I like the softer colors and the layers but the textures are what I appreciate the most. Great Job!!! Chet

It's really neat how the snow covering in both the foreground and background let the yellow of the aspens stand out. I agree with Harry's suggestion of a modest crop from the top.

Lovely conditions Vlad and a nice landscape. The yellows look spot on against the almost mono background.

Thanks all.

Cropping : i think i agree with chopping a band from the top may improve relative position of the colors.

Dan, this question is spot on. I kept whites lower intentionally, but really wanted a feedback on it.

Michael , you are right. thanks.

The large view is a must Vlad. As others suggested, I think a slight crop from the top will go a long way in showcasing the gorgeous golden foliage. Which BTW, looks great against the snow. Beautiful work.

Beautiful splash of color across a wintery scene. Love the simplicity of your composition, and the wonderful details as well. Nicely seen.
