Hi Adam,

Welcome to NPN! I'll be moving this to the Man & Nature Gallery after posting my comment here due to the presence of the boat.

This is a very nice first post. I like your vertical orientation here with the leading line of the shoreline as well as the way the boat is pointed in to the scene. It's a little tight on the left side, but I don't think it's an issue; the boat makes for a solid "anchor" to the scene - no pun intended there. ;-) Personally, I think there's a tad too much sky; cropping maybe 20% of it might make a stronger comp.

Not much you can do other than perhaps increasing the contrast, but the day looked a little hazy, especially as you get deeper in to the scene. It also looks a little soft back hill due to a combination of the haze as well as the fairly wide open aperture and subsequent lack of depth of field. Curious why f/5.6? If handheld that makes sense, but if on a tripod you can go for more depth of field.

Thanks for posting and sharing. We'll look forward to your images and participation. And if you have any questions about the image being moved, don't hesitate to send a note.

Welcome! Simply and exquisite! I like your comp very much. I might of cropped more of the sky out, for me it does not add significantly to the image. The reflection of the boat is exceptional. :toast:
