Wood Duck Re-Post

On 1/19/13, I posted this shot of a Wood Duck taken at Oak Creek Park in Anaheim Hills, California. I received many comments including one from Keith Bauer about how to make the image better. I have followed Keith's advice and hope you agree that his comments about subtle changes have made this a better image.

Comments welcome :toast:

I don't know what Keith told you, but it was evidently good stuff. This looks great, Patrick. I've noticed that your photos are a lot sharper these days. I guess you figured out which button to press. Nice work. :toast:

Not sure what he told you, but this works very nicely for me.

If you compare this iteration to the previous in my gallery, you can see a difference. The suggestions Keith made were to "burn" the tip of the log, and to eliminate the bright reflection in the top right corner. Subtle suggestions that I completely overlooked and his discerning eye helped me to eliminate. I am eager to learn and grateful for all of you who make suggestions and offer feedback. I confess I am not the best evaluator of my own work. :toast:

Nice job on the changes, Patrick, and I agree that they improve what was already and excellent image.

An extremely handsome duck and really great advice from Keith. The true value of this group really shines when everyone shares their ideas and expertise. Not sure about everybody else but I really appreciate the time that members spend helping all of us become better photographers. :toast:
