Cool! What a great rare opportunity too. I like the green-white contrasts here, really like the snow streaks--wish they were a bit more visible (faster exposure maybe??) but overall i like this shot a lot. :wavey:

Fascinating, two subjects you don't normally think about together. I like your choice of composition. Will this moisture produce an explosion of plants blooming in the near future?

John- I think we will have a good wildflower season. The first blooms have already been seen. It may be a bumper year- the last big year was 2005 and come every 6-7 years they say.

I like this one even better than the one yesterday I think because of the contrast between the green cactus and the snow. I'm a little torn about wanting to see the top of the foreground cactus, though. I think it would be a stronger image if all of the cactus were included in the frame as it creates an unwanted tension (from my perspective at least  ).

What a unique combination of elements. The giants are even more majestic in snow.

Love it! What a crazy winter we've had... great contrast of elements. We didn't get this much snow in Scottsdale, but enough to cover our San Pedro cactus in the front yard for a couple hours.

Nice capture of incongruous snow in desert. The composition works well too though I find myself kind of wanting to see the entire cactus in the forefront. One of my favorite deserts btw.
