Weebill

Australia's smallest bird, the tiny Weebill is an active insectivore in drier forests. Unfortunately it flew in very close and I couldn't get enough DOF to get the tail/back in focus.
D800, 300 2.8, 1.7TC, f8, ISO 560, 1/500, -1/3EC.
Thanks, Greg

Beautiful bird with nice background. The head is sharp, but the tail is a little soft. Perhaps a smaller aperture would have brought the tail into focus. Regardless, a very nice image.

Cute little bird, Greg. A very nice look at the eye and head. I do wish it had landed pointed toward you-for some reason the oof tail pointing toward meis more distracting than if it were pointing away.

Love the open beak and flowers Greg. The bird is quite centered but I can understand your comp choice given the flowers on the left. :toast:
