Timing is very nice for a natural moment in nature. When I review the image, I see a significant halo around the birds (especially evident in the larger version). Don't know if the sky was darkened? Also funny artifacts in the sky a bit like noise, but accentuated somehow. There is also a darker patch of blue below the tail of the lower bird that looks odd. Not sure what happened in post processing....

The small image looks great! The large image looks over sharpened and noisy, with the sky having a noticeable "cottage cheese" look and halos around both birds. There is a darker blue patch below the tail of the bottom bird that looks like a cloning that didn't quite work.

Great action, Scott. There's an awful lot of noise in the image-particularly in the larger version. Was this a large crop or did you do a lot of adjustment of brightness or contrast? I'm also seeing some cloning artifacts in the lower left corner and, I think, in front of the beak of the lower bird.
