You did an incredible job getting so much of it in focus along with the perch plant. Hard to do sometimes with a macro, what were your exposure settings? Quite exceptional.

Always like to see those stripy antennae. Very nice. I'm not totally convinced by the color balance, though - maybe a bit much blue. Not quite sure though.

Thanks for the comments.
John, exposure settings were 1/6s @ f22 iso 1000.
Basil, then blue is correct, do seem to be a bluer where this was taken.
Thanks
Ian

Never would have guessed iso 1000, Ian. The image is very clean. Love the way the bf stands out from the nice bg.

Great comp in this photo, Ian. I like the angled perch that the butterfly is on and the smooth OOF background. Good details on the stem and butterfly. Very nice image!

Beautiful image! Excellent detail on the butterfly. The bg is beautiful and I love the way the colors of the bg echo the colors of the stem.

Love the detail of the black and white antenna and legs. The colors are beautiful in the contrast between the Wings and the background and the two shades of green on the rest of the image. I aspire to take such an image. Lovely job Ian .

Great look at this little "Blue", the details in the bf are terrific and the background works wonderfully with the stem that your friend is perched on.
