we had placed some seed out on the deck for the chickadees and siskins in northern new mexico when to our surprise a lone band-tailed pigeon showed up. this was at about 8700' up on a mountain. this was the first time we'd ever seen this specie. i took this shot through a window. this beauty stayed around for a couple of days and then left. we'd never seen another one since.

Nice colors and good details. He gave you a pretty nice pose too.

The window may have cost you a little detail esp around the eye, but very nice to have photographed a new bird! The pose is sweet. Sharon

Great head turn, Danny. The snowy highlight above the bird is a bit distracting to me-maybe tone it down a bit?
