Tricolor Concentration

I spent a few days at Ft Desoto Park last week. I went a bit earlier this year because the morning tide was in my favor. Unfortunately the birds were not - only a small number of waders in the Northe Beach area. I got this one the first day in the little inlet at North Beach. Shot in somewhat difficult partial backlight (shady on the bird). Slight crop from right to 4x5 format and tilt correction. Larger image icluded.

I think you did well for the conditions you mentioned. Good detail on the heron in the larger image. I like the water drop and drop circular reflection, way to go.

In spite of the difficult lighting conditions I think this is looking very nice. I think to be appreciated it must be viewed in the larger version. Gorgeous color and detail captured and the reflection is a plus. Well done!

Sorry to hear there weren't many birds, but you got a good one here. Tricolors are very entertaining by themeselves, enter a Snowy Egret and you've got a circus. Lots of detail, Bill. A real nice image.

I like how the flow of the feathers draws my eye right through the image. Sharon
