Preening Maintenance

This is the same Bufflehead that I posted a couple of weeks ago, but in a more relaxed preening pose. I like this image better capturing him doing some feather maintenance.

Craig: This has a very ethereal look to it. The lighting is exquisite. I like this very much

Agree with Keith about the light...it's wonderful! I might try to bring out the eye in the reflection a little and if you have the room, I'd like to see the duck on the other side, looking into the frame. These suggestions in no way should detract from how much I like this...! Sharon

Sweet image, Craig. I really like the pose and the soft look of the water. To my eye the bird also looks just the slightest bit soft. You may have intended that to go with the rest of the image.

Lovely feel to this Craig and great preening pose, I would prefer more room on the right and less on the left if you have it in the original. :toast:

I can not get anywhere near the few Buffelheads that I have seen. Interesting light and mood to this, way to go.

A very pleasant image, Craig. Soft, dreamy with a feel of seeing something special. The black and white against silver blue water is brought together by the coral pink of that one leg. Nicely done.
