Hope you're not getting too tired of these. Similar to my last post, this almost filled the width of the frame, though with a bit more room on the left. However, I think the angle of the bird lets it move out of the frame toward the viewer, thus requiring less room on the sides. Regardless, I did add a touch of canvas on the right.

1DIV, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow on RRS legs. F7.1, 1/2500, iso 640, manual mode. Processed in CS5. Cropped from top and bottom and canvas added on right. Taken January 20th at 8:08 am.

Your comments and criticisms are much appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Great details & the strong directional light works for me.
I especially like the view from the front broken off at 45 degrees..
And if you're this close with the wings spread, pano's the way to go

Good move to add the right side canvas. I sense loftiness with this image, maybe its the downward stroke of the massive wings. Nice one, Dennis.

The POV in this image is very nice, coupled with the light that details the crane so well, it now is my favorite of the series. The pano format is very well suited for the expansive wingspan. Just enough light on the crane against the darker BG, this is very well done Dennis. Congrats! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Nice exposure and very nice comp, Dennis. The pano works well and the background complements the bird nicely.
