Taken at sunset on Reelfoot Lake in West Tennessee. This is a three exposure HDR processed in Nik HDR Efex Pro and Lightroom. We were there for 3 days to get photos of the eagles that winter there. I like my landscapes much better than the eagles, who were too far away.

Dual sun stars, that's cool! I like how you used the large tree on the right for a frame. Fills it up real nice. Nice work Richard.

Oh yeah…. The glassy water is mesmerizing and as of late I don’t remember seeing such a perfect reflection. Love the light on the foreground tree and the double sun-star.
I might clone out the flare spot in the middle of the frame.
Pretty comp.

The vivid colors and drama in this image are great, nice job. I do have to say that the two suns in the middle of the frame throw me off.

Very surreal. Reminds me of some other sci fi planet, where there is a double sun. Very colorful and interesting.

Let me just say that i think there is potential for this shot to be killer becuase i love the scene and comp. Just my personal opinion, but i think this is a technical shot (obviously, given the DR) and for me the technical details bug me, they get in the way of me really enjoying this. For example, the sun reflection is brighter (and larger) than the sun. The front of the tree is lit up by light, despite the fact that it is totally opposite the sun--impossible, and just too freaky for me. I think this probably just needs some minor tweaks for me to really love it, and obviously my opinion is just that, but for me this is HDR-overdone.
If you feel like ignoring those suggestions--great--in that case at least humor me by cloning out the one branch/leaves on the top left, cause it is definitely a (minor) distraction.

Very cool! Having those 2 sunstars makes this very unusual!. This is quite pleasing to look at!

You have a very fine comp here, and the whole concept is unique and works great. I second Stan on cloning the leaves ulc, and diminishing the brightness of the sunstar reflection. Most people outside this forum won't even care about these nits, and I am sure will love this shot. Very well done.

The colors and clarity here are outstanding. Yes, there's a touch of unreality in the processing, but to me, that's an artistic choice and this does a great job of conveying the sense of a glorious and peaceful sunset.

Absolutely striking and wonderful in every way! Wow! There isn't a darn thing I don't like about this one. These high detail tree scenes are hard to put together compositionally and in processing, but this is as good as I'd probably ever get it.

Beautiful crisp an lively image. Perfect reflection and sun star. (as Stan mentioned, it's strange that the reflected sun star is bigger)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments and feedback. I'm going to go back and reprocess to see if I can't address some of the concerns. The sunspot in the center and the light on the tree trunk on the right bothered me a bit as well. I really do appreciate the feedback and will learn from it. THANKS

I like this shot a lot. Maybe a little too HDRish for me, but still. I think you could get some bounce/reflected light on the tree in the foreground, depending on what's there for it to reflect off of that we cannot see in the frame. The double sunstar is something I can't remember seeing before. Cool!

Awesome capture, Richard. Really like the double suns as well as the framing provided by the foreground tree. All around a very good image.
