Nice capture Sandy. I love the vivid colors these guys possess, and the pose is iconic.

Sandy,
What a great shot. I had no idea it was a waxwing from the index. It looked bright and lavender. On my monitor, the red spots at the tail almost seem luminous. Did you increase the saturation when you processed it. Once again, you have presented us with a simply stunning catch.

Beautiful image of this bird and his environment, Sandy! I love the berry in the beak!

it's so nice to see a waxwing with a blue berry instead of red! seems like every waxwing pic has a red berry. more detail in the bird would be nice but my understanding is that is hard to get with this species. I'd consider more of a horizontal comp, as opposed to the squarish one here.

Very pretty bird. The berry in the mouth is great. The image feels a bit over-saturated to me. I don't know if you applied any or not. Just a perception looking at it. I'd also expect to see more detail in the bird. 1/60 maybe allowed just a touch of camera movement?

Nice job getting him with the berry Sandy. I do agree with Keith's comments, but I have never even seen one of these in the wild before, so I would certainly take it in my portfolio!

Nice catch, Sandy. Great pose with the back and all the color showing. To my eye, there seems to be a slight blue color cast to this image.

Nice capture. I really like the pose and the pop in the red and yellow feathers and the blue berry. i might crop a little off the top and bottom but that is a personal call. I do see a very slight blur from camera or subject movement.

Great looking image - can you send some of those birds up here - we just get the boring colours. I could try to take out some of the distracting branches to the right but otherwise, I love it (almost as much as your cardinal in the water in Texas) Good one!
