Straight into the setting sun, off the coast of Ao Nang, back in 2009. Life was good.

The sky is nice but what I see of the coastline makes me wish I could see more! The boats, rock formations, and distant mountains intrigue me more than the sky does. I do like the clouds and colors in the sky though, and you handled the lighting well for shooting straight into the sun. Does look like a great place to be to sit back and enjoy life.

Life IS good! Glancing at that thumbnail, my first thought was "not enough sea and/or land to anchor this." But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it larger. The foreground details hold up well, and the small size in comparison to the sky really emphasizes the enormity of the sky. A bit more of the pretty foreground with reflected sunset would be nice, but it appears that may not have been possible from this location (guessing the dark shape intruding from the LR continues across the view, and it was not possible to get closer). Excellent processing over the whole scene.

I really like this view of the sky with the strong color transition and interesting cloud shapes. There's just enough coastline to complete the picture and pull everything together. Looks like a great afternoon to be hanging out.
