When I told my husband the other day I was headed out to photograph a dead Agave/Century Plant he practically barked.

I think he keeps hoping I will get back into photographing living things. Needless to say he says he likes this after all.

Stack of 29

ISO 200, f13, 1/50

5D2, 100mm macro

Comments/Criticism welcome.

An exceedingly interesting image for the great variety of textures, patterns and color tones. Add the light variation from the surface fronds to the shadows and I think this is outstanding. :wavey:

Your husband and mine are just the same. Although I'm glad you press on without his encouragement. I really like the abstract here. The textures and the soft colors are lovely.

Very nice image Eirini. I like the detail, color and overall comp. Very nice stacking job. Do you use a Macro Rail or do you do this manually?

Superb image. Well done.

I guess you'll have to apply some the plant bark to his bark. This is a great "still life" with lots of interesting textures, colors and lines. Very well seen!

Way to go, Eirini, to find the beauty in something that others think is "junk"! Love the variety of designs, textures, and shadings in this dead plant. Just tell you husband you have developed a "photographer's eye".

Very beautiful, Eirini ! Superb textures and most satisfying sweeps of the bark in and out of the light and shade.

I like it too very much, Eirini. I did a mistake not opening the thumbnail when you posted it. Compliments.
Take care.
