After mating, this fella seems awfully proud of himself. He reminded me of the old movie line, "You want a cigarette?".
These two made quite a scene at the beach in St. Thomas, rolling over flip flops and anything else in sight. It was quite a show.

Feel free to add a caption after you look.

Lucy, what a terrific expression you have captured on this creature's face! I LOVE the arm over the shoulder of his mating partner. The image quality seems to be lacking, but without camera specs it's hard to determine the root of the problem.

BTW, did you know about the NPN recommended guideline of making 5 comments for every image that you post? There was a long thread in the NPN forum recently where it was pointed out by several newcomers that they never realized this guideline existed. It not only ensures that there will be enough commments for everyone, but it really helps in the learning process when you comment on other peoples' images.

The image quality is from the tonal contrast, that I added. I wanted the photo to be about the expression
 of the "couple" and not just two iguanas on nondescript sand.
I did not realize how few comments I'd made. I will try and up the ratio.

This really begs for captioning! The protective (or add your own sense of mood) "arm" draped over her shoulder make it even more compelling. In terms of presentation, given that you have already chosen to cut away the back parts of both, I think it might feel stronger and less accidental if you were to have moved the right edge of the frame up to behind her elbow and then there would have been a bit more space in front of them for breathing/or mutual moving room. Again, I love the expressiveness of this one. And I do agree it will be nice if you jump in an offer commentary on postings of others! Thanks for posting this one.

Would love to have seen this Lucy, from your description it sounds like they really put on a show as you say..
Great shot of the pair shoulder to shoulder, nice head turns and interesting expressions both.
"Hey baby, ready for another roll in the..sand?"
