Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/30 @ f11

Our neighbor planted these roses in a common area between our houses many years ago. They really don't get much tending but they are hardy and prolific. Spotted this pristine bud a few days ago with plans to shoot it when it opened but the weather didn't cooperate. Still thought the bud itself was worthy of a shot and a post. All comments welcome. >=))>

Very nice image Bill. I like the detail in the bud, the BG, color and the left to right presentation. Well done.

Nicely done, Bill. The red in the bud really pops, and the bg is sublime. Excellent DOF management. :toast:

Bill, another sign of our desire of spring. I live the warming red. Simple and touching shot. There are infrared intrusions?
Cheers.

Bill:

Really beautiful. Like the hairy look in the sepals and the touch of color in the bg.

Top notch, Bill ! The bud is beautifully detailed with lovely transitions in the colours, and the tones of the bg are an absolute delight.
