Eagle Panorama
by Josiah Launstein
Hi Everybody! Here is another picture from this spring when me and my dad went out photographing a couple eagles near our home. He kept flying back and forth over the river and I followed him with my lens and got shis shot as he was calling to his mate. I like the way the riverbank looks behind him.
Thank you for all your comments on my other eagle picture!

Notes from Dad:
Hey - not much to say on this one other than it almost worked out great...tough one in processing as the image is slightly soft due to movement (could only milk 1/320sec out of in the failing light and the D2X doesn't do well above ISO 400). I loved the great character of the cliffs behind him, but that added an interesting challenge, too, as tilting to make them vertical totally throws the eagle's angle off, and leveling the eagle makes you think the picture is crazy tilted. In fact, Josiah's pictures are usually BANG on level and especially from a monopod, so I only did a minor CW rotation here as it simply made the most "sense" in the way it appeared in this panorama.
