Sky Scraper

111 South Wacker Drive: Hopefully this will be non-offensive and G-Rated.
We went into the city last Spring, April, to visit The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where my wife, Carol went, and we spent the day in the Impressionist wing.
But before that, I took this picture of what I believe to be an example of the architecture inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who ushered in the glass-and-steel minimialst movement that dominates the Chicago skyline. He also did the Farnsworth House for physician Edith Farnsworth which I have photographed and maybe will post some of them here sometime.
But we've gone through a cold spell here in Chicagoland, and I dug through some old images to try to find one that blended cold colors with the promise of Spring.
Pentax K-5, Tamron 17-50mm at 45mm, ISO 100, 1/200, polarizing filter. Manual, hand-held, image stabilization. I was going for the idea of the building scraping the color of the sky and for the vanishing point.
