Pier reflections

This is from last night, the sunset looked promising, then went nuclear and just lingered. This is right near where I live and decided to shoot the south side of this pier, usually I shoot the north side for some reason. This is pretty much straight out of the camera with the reds and yellows toned down(yes down). Shot as iso 50 get the exposure longer. This pano is from single exposure. Let me know what you think, and check the big version.

Great pano! The colors of the sunset contrast nicely with the incoming blue twilight. I also like the strict lines of the dock against the smooth waves coming in.

Christina, yes that was my intent as well to highlight the strong vertical lines by going with a panoramic crop. I shot it with that in mind as well. I only went out with one lens so a pano stitch wasnt an option. I think I can still go about as big as I would ever need to with the D800 file.

Sweet.
In the big version, you can see the long exposure in the blurred waves, yet it's still sharp on the sand in the FG. Neat. Love the colors. Heck of an advertisement for wherever this is....as opposed to the bitter cold and show where I am. This is just well done all over.
