Out this frosty morning to the local nature preserve to check on the deer. I came across this small group of does and thought it would make a nice image. I fiddled with the zoom to compose this scene and was vaguely aware of the BG doe to the right. When I finally openned this at home, I was quite surprised to see the head of this other deer exactly between the ears one of the does. Sort of like an Alfred E. Newman of the deer world. Guess that dates me a bit to growing up with MAD magazine. Wonder if it's still around? Anyway, nothing done to the image other than to resize and sharpen slightly for the web. Comments and suggestions would be most welcomed and appreciated.

Cute image Peter, would like to know how you talked the 3 deer into such a pose!!! My only suggestion would be to darken or crop some of the light space at the bottom of the image. Nice detail in the front 2 does. thanks for sharing.

Hi Peter. There is a lot going on within the frame, hard to know where to look initially. Alfred's unplanned appearance definitely adds some comedic appeal. I really like the weathered old tree on the left side that makes a nice prop, just have to get the deer to get onboard.
