Roses bloom all year here. Last year, we had a "Blue Norther" come through and dust everything with snow.

Wow, lucky you to have roses blooming all year. Even though I think I would have liked this lightened up a bit more, the gray drabness of the lighting does help convey a feeling of despair (for the roses). I really like the bud on the left with the raindrops. . .that could have made a fantastic close-up image in itself! I image the roses were done in by the weather.

Interesting image. What are the specs of the shot? Were you using a macro lens? I like it, but kind of hard to comment much about it without the details.

This is a beautiful image. 3 reasons: The two drops on the left bud. Pink and green color harmony. And the background is blurred perfectly for my personal taste.

Looks great, Lucy. The detail in the snow crystals is great and the mottled background works perfectly with the stems and snow on the roses.
