Marcescence
by scott lanz
No, I am not suggesting by the title that this image emulates those of Marc Adamus. Rather, marcescence is the term botanists use to describe deciduous trees, like beeches, that retain their dead leaves during winter. This is an older film image that I posted years ago in Landscape but I forgot (or did not know how) to save to my gallery. So, following up on "Weeping Beech," I thought I take this opportunity to repost it and save it to my gallery. Thank you for your comments on Weeping Beech. Comments, suggestions, and questions on this one also welcome.

Top notch image. No more need to be said.
I like the colours of the leaves on the white.

Love the sprinkling of color from the leaves, and the overall scene with its touch of blue there.
Well done!
