Snowy on Point

Hi everyone! This is a snowy owl I photographed last February near Calgary, Alberta. I know this isn't the most interesting or natural perch, but I liked how all the lines pointed at him. He is on a piece of irrigation equipment in a snowy field.

I have a few pictures of him looking right at me, but I liked the way he was looking back into the picture in this shot.

I love these owls and I'm exited we're going to go look for some more to photograph this month.

Thanks for looking!

I almost always do not like anything but a natural perch for birds but I love this photo. In two words, it works.

I also usually like nothing but a natural perch but this is interesting, different and pleasing composition. Well seen.

This one works for me Marlise,,, and exhibits how nature adapts to man made structures.
