Olympus E-5, 300mmx2.0TC, tripod
f5.7, 1/160, ISO400

A female Great Curassow, playing peek-a-boo with me from behind a tree. La Selva Biological Station, C.R. I have full shots, but I thought this more whimsical version caught the flavor of this skulky bird better.

Full frame, adjusted Levels, usual sharpening drill.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Nice shot of a very cool looking bird. Looks like it could have come from Jurassic Park.

Although a dark shot, Jim, I think the bits of white in the feathers make for an interesting feel.

Nothing like blending into your environment to get around. Another bird I have never hear of so it was interesting to see this. I like the headdress and you can just make out the eye contact. Nice job in getting this.
