Lovely species, nice setting. I have never seen 'your Kestrels', the image seems a little oversaturated to me , but again I do not know what the bird looks like in real. Pleasant shot in any case ! Cheers, Hans

A gorgeous bird to say the least. Did you have to dodge it much in post? Pretty nice results considering the low light and higher ISO. Your post processing skills are certainly more advanced than mine. Beautiful!

Love the pose on her, with the raised foot and suspicious gaze at the camera. I think you did well with the high-key background, but there is a funky look around the head.

It looks like you've stretched the limits of your gear, amazing results shooting at dusk as you say..
I especially like the raised foot and head nod. Lovely markings and colors on this bird Sandy

Great pose, nice color and excellent details, considering the techs. Wow!
I really like the raised foot. A pleasing composition to view. But,I am curious about the head area also.
Sweet One Sandy!!!

AWWW!!! This is a cute little fellow! The leaf in the background is kind of distracting, but also adds some color in the back. I like the look on his face, the kestrels color and how you took the picture when his foot lifted! I love kestrels but we rarely see them so we don't get much images of them.

This is a lovely image Sandy. I have a 'not so good one', and still search for the opportunity to capture one as good as yours. Surprised to see that it was almost dark, as it appears to be bright day light. Love the dried leaves matching the Kestrel's feathers, and that raised foot. Excellent! Maybe he will still be around next week.

Wonderful shot. The puffed feathers give some indication of how cold it is.
