I believe this is a fourth year bird.

Nikon D300; 500mm; f 7.1 @1/640th; ISO 400; HH; cropped approx. 10% from left side.

All comments and suggestions most welcome.

Tom,
Great capture on this early fourth year juvenile. I really like the diagonal composition and the BG. Excellent detail and eye contact. Well Done.

Excellent pose with fully-extended wings. Nice detail on the head and body.
The wings are slightly soft. A faster SS and higher ISO would have helped. For me, I always set to as high a SS as the conditions allow, then I'm ready for unexpected flight shots and this is also fine for non-action shots..
A fine catch!

Nice - love that background. I'd probably crop off the snowy bit at the top. Looks like you did some canvas-extending on the right?

Very nice flight pose with the wing spread. I might add a little back on the left and take some off the top for a pano type crop but a wonderful shot any way you look at it, well done.
